Paid Services Turnover in Moscow Increased by 2.4% in the First Quarter of 2026

The volume of paid services provided to Moscow residents reached RUB 1.2 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, up 2.4% in comparable prices compared with the same period last year. This was announced by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow and Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.
“Moscow’s services sector is actively developing: the introduction of digital formats is improving service quality and making services more accessible to users. In the first quarter of 2026, the volume of paid services provided to residents of the capital amounted to RUB 1.2 trillion, 2.4% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Digital services, telecommunications, and education made the largest contribution to growth, accounting for around one-third of the sector’s total turnover. These areas continue to develop steadily thanks to digitalization,” said Maria Bagreeva.
The turnover of digital services increased by 16%, exceeding RUB 123 billion. The growth was driven by the active use of digital ecosystems, multimedia, and cloud services.
The volume of telecommunications services increased by 7% to RUB 121 billion. This was largely supported by steady demand for internet services, smart home solutions, security services, and other solutions for everyday use.
The turnover of educational services grew by 5% to RUB 111 billion. Consumers are increasingly interested in continuing education programs that allow them to improve their qualifications or acquire a new profession. The growing availability of online formats is also making further education more accessible.
Sports organizations also demonstrated strong growth, with their turnover increasing by 19% to RUB 19 billion. Travel agencies saw an 11% increase, bringing their turnover to RUB 22 billion.
