Moscow packaging manufacturer increases output thanks to the “Labor Productivity” project

     The federal project "Labor Productivity" helped the manufacturer of packaging materials for the food industry, OOO "Interplastic 2001", to increase the production of plastic trays by 20%. This was reported by the Department of Economic Policy and Development of Moscow.



     The company has chosen as a pilot process the production of trays for sealing products, which accounts for about 10% of its total production volume.



     With the help of experts from the Moscow Regional Competence Center, the company leveled out the workload of personnel, revised production standards, introduced production analysis and equipment readjustment standards. In addition, the warehouse was divided into functional zones and workplaces were organized according to the 5S system.



     Thanks to these measures, the production time for a batch of plastic trays was reduced by 10%. Optimization of the production process also allowed to reduce the output of defective products by 16% and increase production by 20% - up to 15.5 thousand plastic trays per person per shift. The company's economic effect from participation in the federal project exceeded 40 million rubles.



     The company will continue to improve its efficiency and apply the experience gained to other areas of production. For this purpose, eight employees have been trained in lean technologies, and two internal trainers have been prepared.



     In 2022–2024, the national project “Labor Productivity” was implemented in Moscow using funds from the city budget. According to Sergei Sobyanin, 419 enterprises took part in it, including about a quarter of the city’s large and medium-sized industrial companies. Since 2025, Moscow companies have continued to increase labor productivity within the framework of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy” (federal project “Labor Productivity”). The federal project is being implemented in the capital using funds from the city budget. Applications for participation are accepted on the website of the Moscow Regional Competence Center.
